CLOSING REMARKS

         Well, I'd like to thank everybody on behalf of PMRA for attending this workshop. Specifically, I would like to thank IR-4 and Cal DRP and EPA for allowing us to participate in this. It's been a really interesting opportunity. And, of course, I'd like to thank all of you for attending this. There was a time a few weeks ago where we weren't sure how far this was going to go. But it's great to see such a great turn out.

         We're definitely very pleased to have the opportunity to work with all of you. We found that this workshop -- I know I've talked to my colleagues and I've talked to a lot of you, and I think everyone has found this workshop very useful. I hope it's been useful in the regulatory side for you, but it's also been useful for us to hear the issues that you face as registrants. That's really important to us and to make the connection. Because it's really important.

         I mentioned it earlier and I think a lot of other people have, it's really important for us to work together on this. We don't want to be working against each other. It's not going to be beneficial, and it's important, for all the agencies, to get these products on the market.

         I know for us reduced risk technologies is a big push in Canada. Sustainable pest management and risk reduction are big aspects in Canada right now. And I know that it's timely because the users and consumers are demanding these types of products from us. So this is a really timely event.

         The workshop for us, we saw the main purpose of this workshop, obviously, is to get registrants familiar with the registration process in Canada, but also to talk about the joint review successes we have had working with EPA, and to facilitate successful submissions and obviously successful registrations.

         The PRMA looks forward to continued good working relationships with all of you registrants as well as IR-4 and EPA and California DRP. And in closing, I hope that you found the session as useful as we have, and I hope it's provided you of a good understanding of our regulatory system in Canada and also our interest in facilitating access to these types of products.
