2012/2013 Research Priorities

The IR-4 Ornamental Horticulture Program Workshop determined research priorities for 2012 through 2013. High priority projects for efficacy and for crop safety were selected for entomology, pathology, and weed science. Additional regional priorities may be added based on grower need and available funding.

Entomology:

•  Thrips Efficacy

Backup project: Whitefly Efficacy depending on registration status of potential treatments

•  Scale Efficacy

•  Borer & Foliar Feeding Beetle Efficacy

•  Crop Safety for Recently Registered Thrips Management Tools

Pathology:

•  Pythium Efficacy

•  Bacterial Disease Efficacy

•  Crop Safety for Seven New Disease Management Tools

Weed Science:

•  Crop Safety for In Season Liquid Preemergent Herbicides

•  Crop Safety for Liverwort Management Tools
